About the juror: Our Juror this year is Larry Padgett. He is the founder and former executive director of The Center for Fine Art Photography. An international nonprofit organization, the Center promotes the art of photography and provides programs that foster the growth of creative artists. During his tenure he provided venues and a voice for artists from more than 25 countries, hosting more than 60 exhibitions, while publishing three collections. His personal work has been in both commercial photography and fine art portraiture. 

Larry Padgett is an advocate for the art of photography. He has a passion for helping artists succeed in their pursuit of exhibiting, publishing and selling their work. He believes photographers represent the truest entrepreneurial spirit – creating from intangible concepts art forms that express the soul of their creator.

Doppelganger

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, The Shining and Nancy Drew, I created this series for Antler Magazine's 3rd Issue. Here are most of the images from the series.  I believe 10 image total were featured in the magazine.  Shooting and processing this series was the most fun I have had in a long time.  I shot almost everything in my daughters bedroom and played dressup with my favorite vintage yellow dress, a knit red hairbow and lots of red lipstick!  What was different for me was creating it specifically  for the magazine and with a deadline, which actually made it more exciting.  Enjoy!

Changes at my Etsy shop...

Spring is bringing changes to ellemoss.etsy.com!

Due to problems with my printer causing me to waste lots of paper and ink, I am now using an outside source for all of my prints at my Etsy shop.

This is actually a really good thing as I will now be offering my prints on Kodak Endura Professional Papers in Metallic, Luster and Glossy.  The Metallic is particularly stunning!  

You can learn more it here.  I will also be selling flat notecards made from this amazing, thick Pearl hinged paper and folded notecards using Luster and Metallic papers.

I will also now be shipping all of my products in flat non-bendable mailers sandwiched between 2 pieces of backing and placed inside of an acid free protective sleeve.

Also, starting this weekend, there will be at least 10 new prints available!

Polaroid Week

I am kicking myself for not purchasing the sx-70 i saw at Treasure Mart for $45.  I thought it was too pricey, but I should've just bought it.  So...Im stuck using my lowly 600's.  I have 3 and none are very good.  I used my One-Step today with mixed results.  Since my scanner isn't the 

best, I decided to take pictures of my pictures :)

I just love this time of year!  Flowers everywhere.  I love shooting flowers so much and then processing flower images.  They are just sooo pretty :)

Etsy and other news!

There will be some changes coming to both of my Etsy shops. At my vintage shop, Alice, I am now offering FREE SHIPPING to the US and Canada!

I have also lowered some prices and will be adding new items this week!

At my photography shop, ellemoss.etsy.com, it's out with the old and in with the new! I will be discontinuing several prints and within the next few weeks adding about 20 new prints (some of which are never before seen!)

I will also be adding print sets for a discount, a 2010 calendar and possibly note cards!

My other blog, Diary of a Mod Housewife, has been slow going. Blogging is certainly time consuming! After a very brief hiatus, I plan on getting it going again. I am going to be interviewing the very talented photographer and flickr "superstar", Miss Aniela! If you missed my interview with the lovely and oh so amazing photographer Heather Evans Smith, you should go check it out now!

One of the great things about having a blog is freebies and samples. I will soon be reviewing products and having giveaways!
