Projekt 30

I am featured in the exhibit "A Glass Darkly" at Projekt30.com. They sift through hundreds of entries and jury it in two rounds where the entries are narrowed down to 30 per exibit. You can view my images here:

My true selves...

since i started taking photographs a year or so ago, i have wanted to try and do a version of Remedios Varo's "the lovers":

Though both images dont reach what I saw in my mind, I am happy with one of them.
The second image is closest to what i was trying to create. In the first image, it was those damned faces in the mirrors that were tripping me up. Scale becomes important and the fact that I am looking at the camera and not myself, bothers me tremendously.
anyway, here they are in all their...well, im not sure what...

Chair, bed, sofa...

I love pictures of furniture. Empty chairs seem to hold a universal fascination. I think they have a life and personality of their own. The idea of having an empty chair image hanging above an empty chair or a large photograph of a sofa above a sofa, makes me smile.

Stoopidgerl is the brightest, happiest, sweetest shop on Etsy. She is all rainbows, cotton candy, carnivals and swirls of color. She makes me happy and she makes my teeth ache! I love her photographs so very much, and she also sells resin necklaces, buttons and ACEO's. Visit stoopidgerl.etsy.com

Etsy Summer Love

Isnt it funny how one's taste in art changes with the season? Or is it just me? Every spring I start leaning towards bright, washed out images and by summer I'm in full blown vintage Polaroid obsession. Here are some summery Etsy prints to decorate your hip pad.
